Ted Lauzen Earns Highest Award at Marine Corps Officer Candidate School

Ted Lauzen, a senior at Duke University, graduated from the United States Marine Corps Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Virginia on August 18, 2006.  Ted earned the distinguished award of NROTC Honor Graduate which is awarded to the candidate with the highest overall average in leadership, academics, and physical fitness evaluation.

The six-week Marine Corps Officer Candidates School emphasizes the core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment.  It is considered one of the most physically and mentally strenuous challenges in military training while it identifies and prepares future Marine officers.

Ted Lauzen will complete his senior year at Duke University (current GPA: 3.80) and ROTC requirements in May, 2007.  Ted aspires to enter the United States Marine Corps Aviation program and fly jets.  Ted Lauzen is the eldest son of Illinois State Senator Chris and Sarah Lauzen of Aurora, IL.
